I've never had a straightforward career path. I started out in arts management, working across festivals and orchestras, before being drawn into music education. Watching children experience live music for the first time, that look of complete awe and wonder, connected with something deep in me, a memory of my own primary school self utterly transfixed by music. I went back to study and completed my PGCE and never looked back. Since then I've moved through many worlds: teaching, music specialism, UX research, curriculum design, CPD, content creation, podcasting and licensing. For years I thought that was the problem, that I should just pick one thing and stick to it. It turns out it's exactly what makes me useful. Curiosity at Play grew out of that realisation. It's the space where everything I've learned and experienced comes together, not as separate things, but as one way of working with people who care about what they do and how they do it. I'm based in London and work with people and organisations across the UK and beyond.
Whether you're a teacher, practitioner or small organisation trying to make something meaningful happen, I'd love to hear from you.
